What would you do if you found a race engine in a scrap metal bin?
This is an amazing little anecdote, explaining how a McLaren 650S GT3 engine ended up in the back of a VW Caddy. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, although it’s not every day you find a race engine in the scrap metal bin…

Buying the cheapest version of any TVR is likely to be a bad idea, but there’s a slim chance that it’s a brilliant idea. At some point TVR Tuscans have become available for low £20ks, currently there’s one available for £23k with just over 30,000 miles on the clock. At what price do these become irresistible?

I promised a break from Kei truck content…well the break is over. Top Gear visit Shawn Basset to check out his custom time-attack build. It comes with race car aero, it spits flames, but it retains a 3-cylinder engine and a 4-speed transmission so, it’s slow. The below screenshot looks like a video game render, but that’s the actual truck. Hilariously silly.
Hot off the press 📰
If you like the idea of a Kei car but are put off by their enormous footprint, worry no more, Top Gear have visited a museum in Japan dedicated to micro cars showcasing a range of the worlds smallest cars.

I spotted this convertible G-Wagon in Palma, it looks to have had a full restoration because it was in immaculate condition inside and out. The classic G-Wagons have a charm about them, and this safari-beige colour is the antithesis of the chameleon wrapped Brabus editions. Really hard to value, the current range on Auto Trader for a convertible G-Wagon is between £15k and £150k, so my guess is as good as yours.
