Some French peculiarities thrown in for good measure

What did Luxury mean to Citroen in the 80s? This Insta reel explores some of the typically Citreon features of the CX25 Prestige, the rev counter is SO cool and the trigger-style door handles - who doesnā€™t want to feel like theyā€™re firing a gun when opening the door?

Car of the week šŸ’°

Surely the most stunning car of the week ever featured? The ā€œMinty 40ā€ is finished in the stunning Verde Pallido, a homage to the Ferrari 250 GTO famously built for Stirling Moss and is for sale at the RM Auction in Monterey next weekend. Guide price is Ā£1.5m - Ā£2.0m, so get those lottery tickets in. Youā€™ll need that money for maintenance too, thereā€™s been over Ā£40k spent in the last year alone šŸ‘€

RetroPower are a specialist garage that have been building quite a reputation in the restoration and resto-modding space, with a number of their projects featured on popular YouTube channels, the below Chevette being no different. They have write-ups for all their completed projects on their site, with comprehensive photos and videos, and they have a summary of the projects that are in flight, some of which look incredibly cool. Defo worth checking out.

The ā€˜bestā€™ car collection will always be a subjective view, but this has to be one of my favourites. As part of his Car Caves series, Jonny Smith visits Jane Weitzmannā€™s collection in a Worcestershire barn. It includes a range of kinda popular but obscure models like the Lamborghini LM002, the Jaguar XJ220 and the gorgeous Toyota 2000GT.

If brutalist architecture were a car, then the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato may well be it. Not a classically beautiful car, but certainly striking. There were fewer than 100 ever made, so itā€™s a particularly rare spot. Iā€™m never too sure what to expect from second-hand Aston prices, but letā€™s just say I was surprised. There arenā€™t many available for sale, obviously, but there are a handful over at Car and Classic if you want to find out for yourself.
