Collector cars to Crochet - Your weekly dose of automotive nourishment

Have you ever seen a knitted car wrap?

The depth of this ā€œpaint jobā€ is unbelievable, I love the effect that the metalwork creates under the paint.

Car of the week šŸ’°

If you watched the paint job above and feel like that was a lot of hard work, I present an alternative approach, a crochet wrapped Volvo. Yes, really. Affectionately referred to as a ā€˜gangster grannieā€™ transformation, I dread to think how much this smells, or how much it weighs on a rainy day, but it will certainly turn heads and put a smile on peoplesā€™ faces. Sadly the car has now sold, so youā€™ll have to knit your own.

I almost feel like I need to apologise for more restomod content, but how can you resist those 4 beauties tackling Italian mountain roads. Ollie Marriage gives us a refreshingly honest review of all 4.

What a 5 car garage this would be! Classic Driver pick 5 ā€˜collector carsā€™ to add to your collection. The below is the pick of the bunch for me.

Seen in the wild šŸ‘€

Spotted on a recent visit to Caffeine & Machine, I didnā€™t really know what I was looking at. A bit of Googling reveals that itā€™s a modified Datsun 100A F11, in a Kaido x Rat Rod style. I canā€™t find one for sale at the moment so they must be incredible rare in the UK, but it looks like they typically sell for under Ā£5k. These guys sell all sorts of cool Kaido style model cars, if youā€™d like to see what this could look like.
