Car of the week 💰

The MG XPower SV looks like it’s straight out of Max Power magazine…but it’s actually straight out of the factory. It was launched in 2003, aimed at rivalling the TVR and evoking MG’s racing past, alas fewer than 90 were sold (more on that later) making it incredibly rare. It is based on the Qvale Mangusta (who!?) and powered by a Ford V8, it boasted carbon fibre bodywork and aggressive styling. Although only 90 were sold, it appears more were made, at least partly made - this being one of them. There’s an interesting story in this vehicles description, check it out.

More Kazakhstan car spots. This is the…Tank. No, seriously, it’s called a Tank. I was actually offered (free!) usage of one of these for my time in Kazakhstan, but I’m glad I declined because the road laws over there were unclear. Not lawless like you might imagine, there were clearly rules that people were following, I just couldn’t work out what they were.
