Fiat to Ferrari - Your weekly dose of automotive nourishment

The user guide you never knew you needed...

This custom truck build has got the coolest ‘fuel filler cap’. The fuel tank sat in the bed is really just an inlet to the actual fuel tank which is below the bed, but the red patinated tank really adds to the character of this build which balances utter perfection with a grimy, used patina.

It’s the video we’ve all been waiting for. We all know that feeling, you’ve got a few F40s knocking around, but you don’t know how to use them? Thankfully, DK Engineering have put together this 40-minute ‘Ferrari F40 user’s guide’. Very relatable content for the masses. I jest, but DK always create high quality content, worth checking out for any F40 enthusiast.

Hot off the press 📰

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the Fiat Topolino. Evidently based on the Citroen Ami and inspired by the Fiat Jolly, the Topolino has been confirmed for the UK market and is likely to start around £7,500. Writing this while the sun is shining, I love it, how much fun does that look. Facing the reality of UK weather though, I can see it being a big hit over here. The Amalfi coast though? Yes please.

Car of the week 💰

With only a rope for a door, the Topolino is going to be a tough sell in the UK, but how about its more complete (in terms of body panels at least) grandfather, the classic Fiat 500? Available for under £10k, they make an interesting, more exotic alternative to the classic mini and would surely make a fun city car that can cope with (a small amount of) poor weather.

Seen in the wild 👀

This isn’t any ordinary G-Wagon, it’s the beefed-up and lifted G500 4x4². If I’m honest, I think it looks a little silly, albeit amusing. It looks like it’s on stilts, but based on this Autocar review, the mods are legit and done in a way that does genuinely benefit its off-roading capabilities…although it’s quite clearly designed for the mean streets of Knightsbridge. Not many available to buy, however it looks like you’ll need around £150k if you’re interested and may even need to import one.
