Is there anything that hasn’t been Tesla converted at this point? You’ll be relieved to hear that an original 300SL wasn’t sacrificed to create this, although that shouldn’t come as a surprise given their value. It’s quite a…striking car, the interior is certainly eye-catching, I for one like it. I think it finds a good balance between retro looks and Tesla tech, what do you think?

Website of the week šŸ’»

Monterey Car Week wrapped up last weekend and RM Sotheby’s hosted another fantastic auction with an incredible array of vehicles. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Monterey Car Week before and this auction was one of my highlights, it’s incredible to see that amount of money flowing around the room and the quality and variety of vehicles on offer. The online brochure showcasing some great photography and captivating stories is well worth a browse.

OK, so you didn’t click on the Monterey auction catalogue, well I’ll point your attention to my favourite listing, the1991 Ferrari F40 ā€˜Minty Forty’ which I referred to a few weeks back. It’s the type of car that often benefits from being in totally original condition, with prices hampered by modifications, but in this case it seems to have only served the eventual sale price, achieving a very healthy $1.79m. Well worth reading more about this car, there’s even a video which explains more about its story.

Small screen scene šŸ“ŗ

The video title says it all ā€œWorld’s MOST unusual cars EVER madeā€. The Lane Motor Museum in Nashville has everything from a Fiat Multipla to a 4-engined military transporter that looks more like a house-sized boat, with a few 2CVs thrown in for good measure…and whatever that is in the image below. Have you ever seen a more eclectic collection?

The side profile of this 1956 MG MGA oozes class and the colour really popped among a the sea of monochrome modern cars. I can't find one for sale in matching ā€˜Glacier Blue’ paintwork, but it appears they’re available from around Ā£13k with some work required or closer to Ā£20k in good, sorted condition. A cool (let’s be honest, slow) Sunday cruiser for when the sun’s out.
