Regal off-roading with a lifted Rolls Royce
Want to go off-roading but think the Rolls Royce Cullinan is going to cut it? Well, how about this chopped and lifted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow? Built for a BadBunny (I don’t know who that is either) music video, I’m not sure how far it would actually make it offroad without throwing up a catastrophic issue, but I’m sure it would be a lot of fun while it lasts.
Car of the week 💰
Having no roof is a serious compromise in the UK, especially in what’s turned out to be one of the greyest summers I can remember. However, the Zenos is a serious sports car so maybe we can justify some compromises. I would say the Zenos has fallen off people’s radars, but in reality I’m not sure it was ever on the radar. It’s somewhere between a Lotus and a Caterham, but with a very contemporary look. It’s powered by a Ford Ecoboost 2.0 turbo and manages 0-60mph in just 4 seconds. I’ve never seen one in the flesh, but I’d say it’s a looker. If you want to learn more about the Zenos, head over to Evo.

I’m sure you’re already familiar with Joe Macari, but they always have an incredible selection of rare and enviable cars for sale, so why not check out their current selection? At the time of writing that includes a Lister Jaguar ‘Knobbly’, a Ferrari F40 GT and a Mercedes Benz CLK LM. Not your average car dealer!

We shared the HWA Mercedes 190E Evo II restomod a couple of weeks ago, but you hadn’t heard of HWA had you? Top Gear go on a tour of their facility in Germany where they work with DeTemosa, Fittipaldi, Pagani, AMG among others. They have 4 different engine testing rooms, some of which were off-limits, but it’s incredible to see how much they’ve been involved with and achieved, without being well known. Until now, of course.
Seen in the wild 👀
An unlikely spot just off Brick Lane in East London, this Lotus Esprit was parked up in a small outdoor carpark. I can’t imagine it gets many opportunities to stretch its legs in the confines of East London, but hopefully it escapes Zone 1 every now and then. The price range for Esprits on Auto Trader is wide, from just under £15k all the way up to £45k. This example looks like the later 3.5l V8 which tops out at 170mph and races to 60 in 4.8 seconds, not bad for a 90s car out of Norfolk.
