Car of the week 💰

How mean does this dystopian Land Rover Discovery look? I appreciate the Juxtaposition of it parked outside the Savoy too. For less than £5k, it looks like a lot of fun.

This was a fun listen. The guys at Drive Torque try to find the ‘Best bang for buck’ - literally. What’s the cheapest HP you can buy? They split out EVs because they’re pretty much a cheat code in that game. The winner might surprise you.

Small screen scene 📺

It wasn’t that long ago that the AutoAlex channel took a hiatus, having been caught up in a bit of controversy. It’s fair to say they came back (slightly) more mature and have created content with more consideration. Recently their videos have taken a longer form and genuinely show some similarity to the Top Gear specials - which I’m sure is their inspiration. The addition of Tom is great too.

How about this old war horse, a 1978 Rolls Royce Corniche. I never know with this type of car whether it’s going to be worth £8,000 or £80,000. In this instance, it appears to be the latter. They’re available on Autotrader from £50k, but go all the way up to £175k, and everywhere in-between. I like it.
