A Tesla that spits flames no less...
I can’t say I’m a big fan of the DeLorean or the Tesla Model X, but this Back to the Future mash-up seems fitting. Complete with flames shooting out the back, for those worried that there weren’t any fossil fuels being burnt here. Check out the reel on Instagram. If you’re childish and all you’re interested in is the flamethrower element, then you see them testing it at various stages here, would love to see this go through an MOT test!
Car of the week đź’°
The humble Noble rose to fame following an appearance on Top Gear where Clarkson said “I LOVE this thing, I drive lots of cars, but very little puts such a big smile on my face as this”. Seemingly coming out of nowhere, the plucky British sports (super!?) car took the fight straight to the well-established brands like Porsche and Ferrari, with a similar recipe to its British compatriots - lightweight, questionable build quality but outstanding performance. They’re available to buy from just over £40k, could you justify that over a used 911? Let’s not discuss the fact that it has a Mondeo engine…
Small screen scene đź“ş
Sticking with the Noble theme, Jack from the YouTube channel Number 27 recently had the privilege of putting the Noble M12 through its paces. If the Top Gear review and Auto Trader listings have whet your appetite, then watching this will only put your bank balance at further risk.
Podcast of the week 🎙️
Hot on the heels of the new evo podcast and following the teaser episode released on Chris’s own YouTube channel, Chris Harris & Friends has now officially launched. If you want to check it out and subscribe you can find them here on apple podcasts or here on Spotify. There are now so many good automotive podcasts, I can barely keep up with them!
Seen in the wild đź‘€
I can’t help but appreciate the dichotomy of this scene. The Ford Focus in its most extreme performance manifestation, paired with a roof tent, more commonly seen on Land Rover Defenders. Hard to know what this would do to the dynamic ability of the RS (although it can’t be good!), but I really like the idea of this combination for tackling something like the NC500, stopping and camping wherever takes your fancy. This generation of Focus RS is now available for just over £20k, which seems like a bit of a steal.
