What happens if you combine a Mustang with a pickup truck?

If you were wondering what happens if you mix a Ford Mustang with a Dodge Ram, wonder no longer. I present you with the Rammus.

Car of the week 💰

This 1966 Mercedes SL Pagoda was sold a few weeks back by Iconic Auctioneers at the NEC Classic Motor Show. In my opinion, they’re only getting better with age, oozing class. Being LHD this one is perfect for a summer European road trip. It’s only covered 35,000km in nearly 60 years and sold for £36,000. That seems like good value in my book. If you’re interested in the other cars sold, you can check ‘em all out here.

There’s something very wholesome about this project. Harry’s made some serious upgrades to his modest Fiat. The work was done at a garage just up the road from where I used to live, there was always a mad collection of cars outside and I always wondered what happened behind closed doors.

Hot off the press 📰

This is the Boreham Motorworks Ford Escort Mk1 RS. It’s a continuation model that follows 50 years after the last Mk1 Escort RS2000 and is built with the full blessing and approval of Ford. Boreham Motorworks has also chosen, probably quite deliberately provocatively, to trademark the terms ‘Continumod’. It starts at £295k and as standard comes with 183bhp 4 cyclinder engine paired with a 4 speed gearbox. Interesting.

How mean does this Rover P6 look? Apparently the more aggressive bonnet vents are part of what’s called the NADA look. There’s a 3.5l V8 under that ventilated bonnet, but it’s still rather lethargic, it labours to 60 in 9 seconds and tops out at 122mph. There’s a range of P6s available in a spectrum of browns and beiges, starting around £10k.
