Supervan to Sports Concept - Your weekly dose of automotive nourishment

Is that the future of LFA?

Social spotlight 📱

Have you ever seen anything like this? Apparently it’s road legal (in the USA), and it sits alongside a range other other mad machines. What a collection.

Car of the week 💰

Fancy a road-legal MG Metro 6R4 but don’t have £250k? Well, this isn’t cheap, but it’s cheaper…how does £41k sound? With a price like that, it’s obviously a replica of the Group B legend, but it will still be turning heads and I imagine it’s a blast to drive.

Small screen scene 📺

I have a vague memory of these vans, possibly from perusing the Guinness Book of World Records as a child. The early vans were wild creations for a car manufacturer that makes things like the Fiesta, who would dream up a GT40 engined Transit! The latest models have unbelievable performance, but I find it harder to get as excited about electric vans.

Hot off the press 📰

It’s not the new LFA, but, could this signal what’s next for LFA? This is Lexus’s Sport Concept, which if nothing else is likely to be a nod towards a future design language. I like it.

Seen in the wild 👀

I spotted this 928 in Camden, the black plates caught my eye initially. A quick Google search informs me that they are legal on cars registered prior to 1980, I think they look cool. This is a 1978 Porsche 928, fitted with a 4.5l V8, what a monster! They look like they’re available in good condition from around £20k, but rougher examples are available for less.
