TVR to Twizy - Your weekly dose of automotive nourishment
Have you ever seen a better line up at a petrol station? (no, you haven't)
Imagine pulling into a petrol station and seeing these 3 lined up. There aren’t many cars that can hang with the F1 without being totally overshadowed, but to my eyes, these guys can. Full set of photos here.
Car of the week 💰
This is a 1971 Lancia Fulvia, prepped in rally regalia but with an interior that gives away its more modest origins. There has recently been £8k spent recommissioning the car with Omicron (which sounds like a covid variant), and the results are striking. Looks like a lot of fun for £15k, but a Lancia of that age is constantly going to be under threat from rust.

Small screen scene 📺
The MG X-Power has featured a couple of times recently, but JeyEmm does a great job of telling the story of it’s creation and ultimate downfall in this video. Bonus points to anyone who can identify which Fiat the headlights are from.
Hot off the press 📰
TVR is back! Sort of! Again! The brand has now become a subsidiary of Charge Holdings and fully intends on building and delivering the long-promised V8 Griffith.
Charge Holdings owns Charge Cars, which itself went into administration last year but has now been revived. Under Charge Holdings’ care, TVR will (in theory) build and deliver the new Griffith, a sports car that was supposed to herald the return of TVR all the way back in 2017. It was fitted with a 5.0-litre quad-cam V8 offering a meaty 500bhp.
Seen in the wild 👀
I noticed this Twizy abandoned(?) on the side of the road on an industrial estate. Initially it stood out for having wide wheels (relatively speaking) but as I got closer I noticed the rear wing and the Duracell graphics. Hard to get too excited about a Twizy, but I thought it was fun, and done in good humour. In case you’re wondering, they’re available from around £4,500 on Autotrader.
